Wheezies

You've pulled out your "go to" black dress, you know, the one you wear when you need something nice to wear and have paired it with the most comfortable of your uncomfortable heels.  Your hair has looked better when you've gone to take out the trash than it does tonight but it's ok because your lipstick shade is to die for until you see pictures later and realize it was not only on your lips but also on your teeth.  (how could your anal girlfriend let you walk around all night with Loreal painted teeth? You vow to get her back next time you have poppy seed muffins at the corner bakery before work)

It's intermission and you've got a glass of wine in one hand and a playbill in the other.  Regardless of the fact that you've got great seats and are having a fantastic time with your friends, you really do miss your kids.  Your husband can spot that look a mile away and gives you a gentle smile as he finishes his drink.  "Tell us how it ends guys." he tells them as he offers you his hand.  "Thanks." You tell him as you put your hand in his.  

Tonight was about being with friends, remembering why you married your husband and never needing to be reminded how much you dig your kids.  And the play?  You can catch up later by reading the playbill.
